Entropia Universe 16.5.0 Release Notes

Image
New Features Codex The Codex is a repository for creature information and missions. Additional features are planned to be added to the Codex in the future, currently the Codex only features Planet Calypso and Space creatures. This first version of the Codex features creature entries that are unlocked by encountering creatures while exploring the universe. Codex entries can be unlocked by scanning or by participating in the kill of a creature (including healing and absorbing damage). Every creature entry has an associated Hunting Challenge comprised of 26 stages, with the last stage being repeatable. Hunting Challenge missions are now automatically begun once a qualifying creature is killed; there is no need to visit a mission terminal or mission NPC. Hunting Challenge rewards are distributed by the Codex. Hunting Challenge progress supports group hunts, and is not dependent upon an avatar being a member of a team, nor is it dependent on a creature having shared loot enabled. Al...

Entropia Universe 14.3.1 Released

Image
MindArk and the Planet Partners strive to ensure a smooth and problem-free Version Update. Nevertheless, even after extensive testing some issues may arise after release. Such issues are often addressed via mini-patches directly after a release and in subsequent patches. If you feel that the possibility of encountering minor issues or bugs directly after a Version Update affects your gameplay to an extent that Entropia Universe is not enjoyable, please wait until the mini-patches have been released and any last minute issues have been resolved. Release Notes 10 Oct 2013 Avatar hitboxes have been updated. Several creatures have had their hitboxes updated, this also results in less loading time when creatures are in view. Client login time improved. Client stability improvements: memory leaks, freezes, crashes and slow loading. Avatars no longer walk backwards after exiting a moving vehicle. Calypso Land Deeds are now listed at Bank Tellers. Dance emotes now loop correctly. ...

Arkadia Days

Image
I came to Arkadia. Mining and treasure hunting heaven. I completed some missions and earned 1 hover pod, guns, armors, mining equipment etc. But I am not satisfied about mining results. And the biggest problem is trade in Arkadia. Enmatter and ore MU values are higher than Calypso but there is no buyers for them. I am planning to go back to home, Calypso... Sorry Arkadia :'( Meanwhile, this me after avatar update. Not bad, huh???

Mining in Calypso

I found a new place in Calypso. It give good mining results. This is XI size Lysterium deposit. And this is my new avatar. It looks not bad, huh?

Planets of Entropia Universe

Image
I am here again after a long break. During this break I visited all Planets in the Entropia Universe. And I want to share my thoughts. 1) Rocktopia : Zombie and music themed planet. I hate zombie stories and i didn't like the planet. But I completed " Hunt the Thing " mission and I earned 1 Helli, 1 weapon etc. 2) Next Island : Tropical island themed planet. It also includes time travel option to Ancient Greece. You can find and kill ancient monsters. Not bad but boring after a while. 3) Arkadia : Planet for Treasure hunters. I didn't understand well and bored. 4) Cyrene : New and almost dull planet. I didn't like. After all, I returned to home, Calypso . I got my first hunting HOF killing a snablesnot-female mature for 58 PED. I will be around. To be continued...

Making Money in Entropia Universe

Image
As a newbie, at first glance; it seems very hard to make real money if you don't deposit some as capital. Otherwise, skill progressing seems very slow and collected materials are in very small quantities and their prices are very very low. I think it depends on exchange rate (1 USD=10 PED). When you deposit 10 USD, it makes 100 PED (without deduction) which is not enough for anything. For this prices it must be 100/1 at least. But, if you accept to give 10 USD weekly or monthly basis, it can help you to compensate some ammo, mining things etc. Without deposite you will become a slogger for sure :) (Run Forest Run!!!)

First Log

Image
I entered to Entropia Universe last week. It's an online universe contains Pvp, own economy system, trade, manufacturing, hunting and other funny things. Entropia Universe  works on Crytek 2 engine. At the begining you have to load game files appr. 10 Gigabyte from the servers via client program. This may seem a little disturbing but it will worth it when you see the result especially if you have a good system and graphic card. I will write my experiences here and share with you. See you soon.
